A Commitment to Conservation

Grassland Restoration

Allowing for the restoration of freer movement of animals to where rainfall has been greater, will over time restore grass coverage to create a significant new carbon sink. The new reserve will establish a baseline and measure grass coverage and carbon capture over time.

The reserve aims to adopt best practices from other grassland carbon measurement projects and will liaise with The Nature Conservancy to adopt best practices. The project will also help protect the existing National Park to function and adapt in the face of increasing droughts brought on by climate change.

The ProNamib Trust

The ProNamib Trust was established in March 2020 in order to facilitate the acquisition of land for conservation and to raise funds for the Environment.
