The Opportunity
The ProNamib Nature Reserve project is an exciting philanthropic investment opportunity – a chance to make a lasting difference for biodiversity, carbon, wildlife and people in one of the world’s most dramatic landscapes. The Nature Conservancy (TNC), one of the world’s largest conservation organizations, has already invested here, working in partnership with the Sossusvlei-Namib Landscape Association. TNC’s work in Namibia and across Africa is part of its worldwide effort to save the critical lands and waters on which all life depends.
At low cost relative to other conservation land opportunities, the ProNamib Nature Reserve project will help to safeguard an irreplaceable ecosystem at one of the lowest prices per hectare globally. It offers large landscape, whole ecosystem protection. Together, we can build a sustainable way forward for this special place – one that includes both a healthy environment for nature, impact on climate and a vibrant economy for the people of Namibia.
We are looking for a small group of committed conservationists to partner in establishing this reserve and protecting it for future generations.

The ProNamib Trust was established in March 2020 in order to facilitate the acquisition of land for conservation and to raise funds for the Environment.
